Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALMA HELENA (SANDERS) SCORGIE (nee SONLEY) Peacefully, on Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at St. Boniface General Hospital, Alma Scorgie passed away at the age of 89 years. She was predeceased by her first husband Robert Sanders, her second husband James Scorgie; her parents, Clarke and Muriel Sonley; and her sister Caroline Cass. Left to cherish her memory are her son Robert Sanders and wife Brenda, granddaughter Corrina Hardman and husband Brent, grandson Kevin Sanders; brother Stewart Sonley and wife Dena; nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was born in Crystal city, MB on July 12, 1910. Alma dedicated over 30 years of her life to helping children while working in the teaching profession, and was always striving to improve the childrens learning environment. She taught in numerous schools throughout Manitoba and at all grade levels. She was an active member of the Manitoba Teachers Society and worked tirelessly for the betterment of all teachers. She was also a lifelong member of the Rebekah Lodge, as well as many other organizations. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who was always actively involved in the lives of her family. She took great interest and pride in their achievements. She was very warm-hearted and never hesitated to help anyone in need. We would like to extend special thanks and appreciation to the staff of the SICU, St. Boniface Hospital for their care and kindness. We will be honouring Almas wishes by having a private family interment in lieu of funeral services. This will take place at a later date in Crystal City, MB.
